PTICHKI Sailing Team helmed by Elvira Pinchuk is ready for a new challenge in Tenzor International Cp - J/70 Open Winter Series 2025/2026. The team's first appearance at the TIC regattas was in April 2025, during the final stage, where they were able to fully experience the spirit of high competition.
Elvira told about main goals for the upcoming season in interview.
The winter season of Tenzor International Cup in Bodrum is ahead. What are your expectations and objectives?
Elvira Pinchuk: This is a new challenge for us and at the same time a chance to expand our horizons. We want not only to show results, but also to gain international experience, to feel the high level of foreign rivals. The task is to keep the bar and try to fight for the top positions.
What did you like about the racing area in Bodrum?
Elvira Pinchuk: It is very diverse: the wind and waves are always different. There is a special feature that makes you constantly be in good shape. It is especially interesting how quickly conditions change during the day.
How do you rate the fleet and rivals of TIC final stage last season? What is your feeling about Turkish teams?
Elvira Pinchuk: The fleet was very strong, mistakes were rarely forgiven. The Turkish teams, of course, were impressed and we felt the level of their experience in these conditions. This is an additional motivation for us to improve our speed and tactics.
What is the crew staff for TIC winter season in Turkey?
Elvira Pinchuk: So far we are starting with the following line-up: me, Ilya Polishchuk, Alexander Grishunin, Egor Terpigorev. I have already raced with some of the guys, but this is the first time we will be in this staff together.
