Eker Sailing Team in the entry list of the final Leg!

The Eker Sailing Team is the real pride of its native country - Turkey. The crews of the team in different compositions became national champions in various series and regattas, achieved success in international competitions racing in the Melges 32 and J/70 classes. In 2022, the team won the bronze medal at the 2022 European Championship, took 2nd place in the One-Pro category at the 2023 J/70 World Championship, became the 3rd champion in the One-Pro category at the J/70 Midwinter's sailing race held in the USA, and was also noted for successful performances in the European winter series in Monaco and other countries.

For the upcoming final leg of the Tenzor International Cup – J/70 Open Winter Series 2023-2024, the Eker team is fielding a crew consisting of Ceren Demiral, Uğur Esen, Ekin Büyükyılmaz and Güney Can Kaptan.

Helmsman Ceren Demiral and tactician Uğur Esen are a well–worked couple who have competed together at various regattas and European championships in the J/70 class, the bowman and trimmer also have a rich competitive practice.

The boss and ideologist of the Eker Sailing Tean team, Ahmet Eker, makes a significant contribution and investments in the development of sailing in Turkey and is himself a very experienced yachtsman.

Ahmet Eker: «I will not be able to take part in the upcoming regatta, but to my opinion, the Tenzor International Cup is an important world-class sailing project, and that is why we will be presented with the team in this leg and the plans for next year to participate in a Series with at least two boats».
