The start of the Tenzor International Cup – J/70 Open Winter Series 2023/2024 was held on a high note!

On December 8, a long-awaited event took place - the opening of the winter series of sailing regattas Tenzor International Cup 2023/2024. The Governor of Bodrum, Mr. Mustafa Çil, honored the solemn ceremony with his presence. The Governor has expressed his pleasure on behalf of Bodrum public to be hosting the Tenzor International Cup Winter Series. He expects and hopes to welcome this high class organisation in the future years with valuable sailing teams and brands from different countries.

The Tenzor International Cup is one of the largest and most notable sailing competitions with an international status.

The calendar of the series includes 5 stages that will take place from December 2023 to April 2024, in Bodrum, on the basis of the Tenzor Sailing Club Turkey yacht club. Here, in the picturesque Aspat Bay, excellent wind conditions, convenient geography and a spacious marine area with several zones for setting a racing distance, crystal water and picturesque landscapes, which gives this marina undeniable advantages.

The first stage of the series brought together almost fifty professional and amateur yachtsmen, for each of whom sailing is an important part of life.

Among the participants there are also former Olympians, such as Ali Kemal Tüfekçi from the ASPAT team, who represented Turkey in the Laser and Finn classes at the 2000 and 2008 Olympic Games, Mikhail and Maxim Sheremetyev from the Hubex team, who participated in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics in the 470 class. There are a lot of prize-winners and winners of national, European and world series, as well as famous offshore regattas such as the Rolex Middle Sea Race, etc. in the entry list.

The teams Dolce Vita, Ada Jr, Azzurro, Hubex, Bogatyrs, Tenzor Team, Good Guys, Eyed Mushrooms, Aspat, Orient Jr, Dva Topora and Ayaz will compete with each other for the title of the strongest in the “Open” and “Corinthian” divisions.

According to the sports program, the regatta participants will have three racing days. The winners will be announced on Sunday, December 10.
