Helmsman Maksim Batrakov shared his pre-starting impressions in interview.
You have raced twice in the 2024/2025 TIC Winter Series in Türkiye. What impressed you with the location and the water area?
Maksim Batrakov: I liked everything in Türkiye – the location, the water area, the wind conditions. It helmed perfectly in a strong wind, for me personally it is much better than racing in weak winds. The experience was great!
What are your plans and goals for the upcoming season?
Maksim Batrakov: We are charging up for the whole season, starting in November with the Turkish Championship and then all the stages. The prestart ambitions are very good; we want to achieve a podium at the end of the season.
You always have high ambitions for top results. You finished 10th twice in legs of the last edition of TIC Türkiye. How would you rate this result? How difficult was it?
Maksim Batrakov: I think that the 10th result was not too bad, taking into account that we didn't race all season, were in a new location, on a rented boat and in a competitive fleet with teams that are well acquainted with the water area. Definitely, we will improve. We will race on our own boat, and with good preparation and proper attention, we plan to be in the top-3. Will do our best!
Can you present your crew staff and who will be on tactics?
Maksim Batrakov: We're going to race with the main team staff: me on helm, Egor Zuev, Bogdan Babenko. Pavel Sozykin will be the tactician.
