SPECTRUM Sailing Team is ready for the first international regatta

The final leg of the Tenzor International Cup – J/70 Open Winter Series will be the first international regatta for the SPECTRUM sailing team.

The crew will compete in the staff of Vladimir Molchanov, Arina Nikitina, Ivan Zotov and Georgy Yatsun.

Some of the team members have experience of participating in international competitions. These are Arina Nikitina, a prize-winner of many international competitions, and Ivan Zotov, who competed in international competitions in the Laser and 49-er classes and now lives in Fethiye, Turkey, actively participating in races on cruise yachts. For the captain of the team, Vladimir Molchanov and Georgy Yatsun, this will be the first and useful experience in the Turkish location.

Vladimir Molchanov (helmsman of the team): "We are looking forward to the upcoming regatta and preparing for it with a positive mood! First of all, we strive to enjoy racing and enjoy the atmosphere of this event, communicate with foreign teams and share experiences. Last but not least, the task is to enrich the team with new experience on the J/70 boat, improve interaction between crew members and boat running skills. We hope that the experience of the regattas in Sochi, which take place in rather difficult sea conditions, will be useful to our team in Turkey. We have plans to participate in foreign regattas more often, and, of course, the regattas held by Tenzor Sailing Club in Turkey will be among the priorities in our international calendar."
