The Turkish sailing team CHEESE SAILING is well-experienced and successful. In 2023, the crew of Bora Olcav won the bronze medals at the fifth stage of the Tour of Turkiye, and also showed the 8th result in the Turkish championship in the J/70 class. The team, which competes not only in Turkey, but also in Europe, also has three wins in the Farr 40 Trophy cup (2017-2019), a victory in the Turkish Sportboat Turkish Championship 2021 and silver in the 2021 ORC Sportboat European Championship in the J/70 class.
The Cheese Sailing crew staff for the upcoming regatta will consist of Bora Olcav, Levent Peynirci, Can Koçak and Güney Kaptan.
Levent Peynirci: "Our sailing team competes on different boats. We bought a J/70 boat and joined the fleet. We plan to go to the European Championship this year. We have a good sailing experience, 7-8 years, we started with the Optimist class. We really love Bodrum and sailing in Turkey. We believe that this is a very suitable location for sailing. There is always a good and varied wind and weather conditions. Our goal at the second stage of the Tenzor International Cup winter series is to finish in the top-3. We managed to win the third place on the podium in the summer series of the Tour of Turkiye, at the stage held in Bodrum. However, we expect the upcoming race will be more difficult."
