Hailing from the scenic Shanghu Lake in Changshu, China, a gem of the Jiangnan water region, the Shanghu Sailing Team is a dedicated crew united by a shared passion for sailing.

Jin Ye serves as the helm and tactical core of the Shanghu Sailing Team. Her career is highlighted by proven success at the highest levels of the sport, most notably winning the Asian Championship title at the 2021 Musannah Open—a performance that secured her qualification for the Tokyo Olympics. This elite international experience is complemented by consistent top-tier results domestically, such as her podium finish as Long-Distance Runner-up at the 2023 National Sailing Champions Regatta. As the team's most decorated sailor, she provides strategic leadership and race-winning composure.

lWu Weijie | Pitman & Skipper

Wu Weijie is a versatile and experienced sailor with a strong background in both inshore and offshore racing. His proven track record includes winning major domestic events like the Beihai Ancient Port Cup. His primary role onboard is to fine-tune the sail shape, using his physical strength and feel for the wind to maximize boat speed and balance.

lLv Wenjie | Mainsail Trimmer

Lv Wenjie is a high-performance sailor with over a decade of experience training and competing at the provincial team level, which represents the top tier of domestic competition in China. His technical expertise and strength are crucial for controlling the powerful mainsail and translating the helm's commands into efficient power.

lLi Ronghua | Bowman

Li Ronghua is a highly athletic sailor who excels in the demanding bow role. His background as a trained athlete allows him to perform the precise and physical tasks on the foredeck with speed and confidence, ensuring flawless sail changes and boat-handling maneuvers.
