The Tenzor International Cup - J/70 Open Winter Series is coming back with new teams and new challenges on Stage 2!

From January 11 to 14, the second stage of open winter series in J/70 class - Tenzor International Cup will take place in Anthaven resort on the basis of the Tenzor Sailing Club Turkiye. This is a great sporting event in the world of sailing which is held under support of Turkish Sailing Federation and J/70 Class Association.

The lists of participants for the second stage have been replenished with new teams that are determined to fight for the highest positions. Among them there are Cheese Sailing Team led by Bora Olcav. It is experienced and successful Turkish team, which won the bronze medal at the fifth stage of the Tour of Turkiye 2023, and also showed the 8th result in the Turkish championship in the J/70 class.

Another well-known team who will make its debut in Tenzor International Cup is Happyhour JR with Erman Ayvaz, Saruhan Çınay, Saffet Onur Bilgen, Anil Berk Baki who represent the Turkish yacht clubs Ferdi, Heybeliada Su Sporları Spor Kulübü, IYK and Galatasaray. The team has very ambitious plans for 2024 – participation in the European and World Championships. The Tenzor International Cup winter series will be an excellent step in preparation for the upcoming international competitions.

Nautique Yachting Team with such professionals in sailing like Onur Erardağ, Doğa Arıbaş, Enes Caylak and Arda Baykal will make a good performance together and will be a strong rival for the other teams.

Finally, the IVEDI team led by Yiğit Eroğlu joined the regatta. IVEDI is a well-experienced sailing team that opens up new horizons and improves its sporting achievements every new season. It has been competing in the J/70 class in Turkey since its establishment. Participated in J/70 European and World Championships, as well as in J/70 Turkish Championship, J/70 Turkish Trophy and Dragon World Championship Corinthian 1st league.

Together with the newcomers there are the favorites who already scored the first points after the first stage of the Series. Tenzor Team, Bogatyrs, Dolce Vita, Eyed Mushrooms, Orient JR as well as the top-teams of Corinthian division with Azzuro, Ada JR, Aspat and Ayaz JR sailing teams are ready to race.

ENTRY LIST STAGE 2

The judging panel of the second stage of upcoming regatta will include judges and umpires from Croatia, Turkey and Germany. The principal judge of the competition, Can Giray, is one of the key specialists in the Turkish Sailing Federation. The main umpire Neven Baran is a World Sailing International Judge and Umpire and regularly judging since 1993. The high-level specialist from Croatia served such sailing competitions as America’s Cup in Auckland 2002 and Valencia 2007, Sydney, London and Rio de Janeiro Olympics. His recent involvement is in development of fleet umpiring in Yacht Club Monaco, Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, Sailing Champions League, German Sailing League and the newest Star Sailors League.

The sporting program will start on 11th January with practice races and registration and the next three days, from 12th to 14th of January the races will be held in Aspat Bay with prize giving ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
